‘Anina Verde'
Grüner Veltliner & Riesling, Kamptal, Austria
A tactile, splendidly balanced lil slice of heavenly Austrian white. From within one of the oldest, most globally recognized fine-wine regions of Austria, Anna and Martin Arndorfer have taken the traditions of their two local winemaking families and staked new ground. Here, grüner veltliner is fermented on riesling skins for 10 days. FUN FACT! To get the skins, the riesling is pressed whole-cluster, and the family separate the skins from the stems by hand. This is one of three newer, more experimental Arndorfer wines, named after Anna and Martin’s three daughters to give the label a place to play. Ice castle, honey brine, lime juice, white rose, nectarine and apricot syrup, rosemary oils on fingers, dill shoot, stone worn away by the ocean & falling white ash. Enjoy with a pizza bianco, buffalo mozz, parm and seafood medley.
