Join us in welcoming to the GW family, one of the most intriguing projects in North America, La Garagista! A seeker of knowledge through patience, owner and winemaker Deirdre Heekin oversees her vine-wound kingdom with an affinity for hybrid grapes & diverse ecosystems. Their cider solera was started in 2010 and has been continuously added to since, making for a total of 42 (cultivated and wild) unique varieties of apples included in each bottle! At bottling, a dosage is done by adding a small amount of the apples own yeasts and sugars to fermented cider, which cause a second fermentation in bottle, trapping sparkling C02 for our consuming pleasures. Chalky mints, lemon beebalm, salt shake, yellow apple skin texture, Vermont sunset & a gentle umami lingers. Enjoy with a classic ham and pickle sandwich.
