'Crazy Lud'

Grašac, Bakator, Piros Magyarka & Riesling, Subotica, Serbia

A floral, finessed and crunchy light red. Oszkár Maurer is a fourth generation winemaker stewarding the wine-growing history in his area by focusing on regional grapes through a natural lens. A blend of plushy grašac, tropical bakator (planted in 1930!), local piros magyarka & soaring riesling. Six months on lees brings tactility and skin-y complexity. RIDICULOUSLY FUN FACT! This bottle is sealed with clay mud (instead of the typical plastic, wax or metal) sourced directly from the vineyard! Sun-warmed apple, bletted quince earthiness meets winter melon florality, green tea tannins, pollen & baking spices pitter-patter in the background. Enjoy while writing out this Oszkár quote, “While we may not be able to change the world alone, we can change ourselves. Our planet is a precious gift, and it’s crucial that we take care of it.”, and taping it to your fridge, this is the energy we need going into 2025!
