Domaine Guiberteau has been producing delectable and classic Saumur wines since 1934 from their 17 hectares of cabernet franc and chenin blanc vines on deep clay and clay-limestone. Cultivating the land with organic farming methods since 2003, only the use of sulphur, copper, herbal decoctions and essential oils is permissible. Picked by hand, the grapes are pressed slowly and aged in rounding French oak barrels from the Tronçais forests—the 11th largest, it is known as the most beautiful oak forest in Europe.
