One of two cuvées from our second ever Katla release, welcome to this kinda orange, maybe rosé fully DELECTABLE zero-zero sparkling beauty. Working with grapes from both her own vineyard (0.4 hectares) as well as sourced from likeminded friends, Jas Swan’s wines are free from expectation and truly boundless in their potential. Purchased from friends, the highly aromatic, richly-fruited huxelrebe (50%), rounding pinot blanc (25%), citric riesling (20%), and the herbaceous hybrid regent (5%) see a mix of semi-carbonic maceration and direct pressing to keep the grapes exactly where she wants them. FUN FACT! The label is adorned by the drag artist @james.thecreature, who affectionately refers to the bottling as DRAG NAT, and we couldn’t be more obsessed! Mineral mania, hearty ginger beer and green ginger shoots, a chalky texture, lemon soda, ripe guava, bitter baked spices, grapefruit mint, pomegranate perfume & twinkling star bubbles.
