'Loup d'Or'

Brianna, Vermont, USA

A chalky, fully textural homage to local lore, and proof that all that glitters is in fact gold, and a wolf. It is with beaming hearts that we welcome one of the most rich, unique and intriguing projects in all of North America, La Garagista! Owner and winemaker Deirdre Heekin oversees her thriving, vine-strewn kingdom with an affinity for hybrid grapes, local fruits & an unfailing respect for the bond between humans and nature. The star hybrid here is the tropical and floral brianna, with a heritage that traces back to numerous aromatic muscats and mineral, viridescent-flavoured grenache blanc. Plucked from an alpine vineyard thick with Queen Anne’s Lace and wild chrysanthemums, ‘Loup d’Or’ is left for five weeks of maceration for a seriously luscious mouthfeel. Flintstone vitamins, weaving flowers, salted sunflower seed butter, prickly pineapple juice, cave walls & apricots a plenty. Enjoy with stuffed crust pizzas dunked in spicy honey.
