‘Marqutie’
Marquette & Viognier, Prince Edward County (PEC), Ontario
Here to replace the beloved ‘Frontesnack’, ‘Marqutie’ is our third and possibly jUicIesT collab with Trail Estate winemaker Mackenzie Brisbois! An accomplished winemaker, Mackenzie brings us minimal intervention wines from PEC with a light-hearted nature. The peppery, smokey and deeply berried marquette (75%, a red hybrid) comes from the organic Appletop vineyard near Georgian Bay, while the floral, stone-fruity viognier (25%) comes from the organic Grimsby Hillside vineyard near Lake Ontario. FUN FACT from the winemaker! The top-notch growing season brought superb concentration of flavour while also retaining slick acidity! #IDEAL! Cedar bark, white flowers, lemon butter cream, cherry strawberry jam, coppery mineral tint & homemade grape popsicles. Drink while snuggling your best friends elderly chihuahua, wearing matching sweaters and watching The Princess Diaries, what could be QUTER!?
