A robustly savoury German pinot from a Prince of zero-zero winemaking. Marto Wörner is a talented and experienced young winemaker, utilizing organic and biodynamic practices to express the peak of what can come from Rheinhessen. This aromatic, forest-y pinot noir comes from a single plot, is macerated for two weeks to lock in sturdy, woody tannin and aged in rounding foudre. Cherry chapstick meets freeze dried strawberry, slathered in dirt, smoke, mint toothpaste, eucalyptus oil, allspice, & the corner of The Prancing Pony. Pour alongside mushroom and nettle tortellini in a sage brown butter.
