Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir, Alsace, France
A pretty, fresh and proper as can be Alsatian pinot. The Ostertag family founded this domaine in 1966 in the village of Epfig, Alsace. Introducing biodynamics in 1998, all of their vineyards across the villages of Epfig, Nothalten, Itterswiller, Ribeauvillé and Albé are now certified organic and biodynamic, and proof positive of their dedication to top notch farming. Grown on aromatic encouraging sandstone and grounding clay, the pinot is pressed and aged for nine months in tank rubbing elbows with itself. Candied cherry, wildflowers, velvety tannins, charcoal sketch, oolong, sage, redcurrant tang & sweet tea spice. Try with headcheese while listening to ‘Pink Pony Club’ on repeat.
