A woodsy and indulgent old vine gamay available in BIG BOTTLE ONLY. #nowweretalking In Sylvère’s tiny hometown of Blacé, Séléné’s organic four-hectares of mixed crop-livestock farming harkens back to the biodiverse agriculture of the past. “Gisous” is a tribute to his next-door neighbour and grandmother, and is a blend of the finest and oldest plots on the estate (we should be so lucky!). FUN FACT! Séléné is the Greek goddess of the moon! From two old vine parcels aged 50-80 years that rest on clay, silt and granite, the gamay is semi-carbonically macerated and lifted up up and away. Thyme brush meets sweet woodruff, raspberries with leaves, dense blackcurrant sorbet, fluttery-eyed florals, porcinis & dignified tannins. Try with morcilla, fried in a pan with olive oil and accompanied by crusty bread hunks.
