A perky, fruit-flaunting pinot from the next generation of Bojo stars. After interning at Savoie’s famed Belluard and Beaujolais’s great Lapalu, ex-punk rocker Sylvère Trichard began Séléné in his hometown of Blacé, with farmer and friend Elodie Bouvard in 2012. Since then the property has flourished with plantings of fruit, vegetables, animals and the introduction of biodynamic practices. Beneath the gnarly 20-80 year old goblet vines, the wildflowers and grasses are free to grow, their grapes harvested by hand and carbonically macerated as per tradition. Dragonfruit fruit roll up, açai gum, cherry chapstick, fine, chalky green banana tannins & a sturdy vegetal presence that steadies the ship. Enjoy with a pastrami sando, yellow mustard everywhere.
