'Turbullent Mousseux'

Gamay St-Romain, Côte Roannaise, Loire Valley, France

A classy, spiced and perfectly perfumed pet-nat rosé from a rare appellation. Winemakers Carine & Stephane are continuously levelling up, first by transitioning their fruit to organic farming, and now by working towards biodynamic certification. Officially part of the Loire Valley but closer to Beaujolais, their parcel nests at a high elevation on a vein of granite, backed by the foothills of the Massif Central, and overlooking the chasms dug by the magnificent Loire river. FUN FACT! The Côte Roannaise appellation of the Loire vineyard is still young, only being recognized since 1994! Made from gamay st-romain, a local heirloom clone of gamay known for late-ripening, often referred to simply as Saint Romain. Cooked cranberry, rose bouquet on your birthday, strawberry seltzer, apple strudel, rockin’ airplane turbulence bubbles & cinnamon doughnuts. Open during the bi-weekly meetup with your friend/language tutor, while they try to teach you the proper pronunciation of ‘Écureuil’, ey-kyu-re-uy, aka squirrel!
