A bright and savoury Sicilian SNACK of a red. Winemaker Vito Lauria is a Sicilian local and after studying winemaking in Friuli, returned home in 2005 to take over his family's 70 hectares in the west of Sicily. His focus is on organic viticulture & regional Sicilian varieties without falter. The meaty syrah is maceration for 24 hours to keep things lifted, pressed and rested for 12 months in tanks to unwind in peace. Sour cherry jam, fennel and violet flowers, exploding blueberries, grassy open pasture & dead leaves. Pour alongside spiced Italian sausage pastas.
