'Zauber des Verzitchs'

Cabernet Sauvignon & Rotbburger, Burgenland, Austria

A complex, mineral and zero-zero Austrian rosé for the potion-master in us all. Georg Schmelzer is a fourth generation Austrian winemaker who practices revitalizing biodynamic applications like horn manure, ground crystals and herbal infusions all in the name of soil health. FUN FACT! Georg Schmelzer was one of the first in Austria to give a PIWI (aka hybrid grape variety) a chance! The umami-flexing, subtly smoky cab sauv and spiced, berried rotburger grapes are from older vines, directly pressed for a blushing hue and aged in old barriques to round and ground. Sour raspberry bramble, grapefruit yoghurt cup, wood log density, liquorice root, rolling stones, moth wing powdery tannins & pluming smoke trails. Drink alongside all manner of spell casting – maybe combining the fur of a deaf dog, new years eve day newspaper, shell of a snail that died of old age & bark from a fallen tree struck by lightning for clearing a cold!
